Also contains John Tyndall's "Further Researches on the Deportment and Vital Persistence of Putrefactive and Infective Organisms from a Physical Point of View" (pp. 149-206). v, 756 pp. 31 plates. 4to. Recent brown three quarter leather bindings with five raised bands at spine, burgundy title patch with gold embossed titling, gold lines offsetting bands, decorative stamp in each compartment without titling, blind embossed borders to front and rear boards. Table of Contents has a horizontal tear mid-page on p.[v], triangular piece missing from lower right corner of p. 163. Interiors clean. Numerous folding plates that illustrate articles. Pages were trimmed slightly when rebound.

The slipcase is in Good condition with scuffing and wear and a split along the top seams. Printed wraps enclose the loose signatures of this production. The signatures are in excellent condition with interleaving over each illustration.

Brown paper covered slipcase has slight chipping at edges, wear, but in Very Good condtion.

Heavily illustrated with photographs of the community, or particular note is the work by Eliel Saarinen (1873-1950) who designed many of the buildings and interiors and was affiliated with Cranbrook from 1925 until his death in 1950 and also served as president. Cranbrook produced both notable faculty and alumni including Harry Bertoia, Richard DeVore, Charles Eames, Ray Eames, Waylande Gregory, Florence Knoll, Daniel Libeskind, and Eero Saarinen. 47, [1] pp. 4to. Brown paper wraps with soiling from age, chipping at edges. Title page has staining at edges as does the rear first free endpaper, clean within.

Signed in pencil on the half-title page by Paul Caponigro, this title was produced in an edition of 225 copies, this being #61. Written, designed, printed, and bound by Michael Torosian. 67 pp. 8vo. Gray pastepaper covered boards with a design derived from a Caponigro photograph, gray linen cloth spine with gray paper label and silver titling. Clean within, with twenty-three of his photographs, beautifully produced and including one of his most famous photographs, "Running White Deer" as a gatefold. No dust jacket, as issued.
