An Original black and white steel-engraved vignette view of the Penrhyn Slate Quarries, with some light hand colouring. The date is not noted, but it is an ORIGINAL Antique print and is circa.1840/70 - the likely date being 1850/60. These views were usually issued in early 'View Books' of the area for Tourists, in either 6,10, or 12 views, or as letter-heads to sheets of notepaper. This print has a slim line running through the right hand side of the image - negligible - o/w this is in excellent, clean condition and is in a modern double oval green/cream mount - most attractive and ready for framing.
