This is the FIRST EDITION of Hammett's classic text published in 1940. The "attached" ISBNs refer to the 2nd Edition published in 1970. The 1st and 2nd Editions treat the subject VERY differently and many said that the 2nd Edition should have been published as a first edition with a new title!

Fasman was one of the pioneers of the prediction of the 3-dimensional structure of proteins from their primary amino acid sequence and a leading researcher in the field. (I also had a copy of another Fasman classic, "Circular Dichroism and the Conformational Analysis of Biomolecules" but it is already sold.)Other than the owner's name written on the inside cover page, this is a very clean, unmarked, tight copy with no tears, bends, or folds and only minor signs of shelf wear, specifically, minor dust marks on the top and bottom page edges, barely visible in the photos, q.v.. (Some photos are at weird angles to reduce glare from the shiny covers.) This book is from a private, personal library, not a lending library.
