From the personal library of Maurice Sendak, author and illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are, etc. Auction house provenance slip laid in from a sale on behalf of the Rosenbach Museum of Philadelphia. Sendak (1928-2012) was an avid book collector whose sizable library included many items by and about Henry James. 116 pp., with untrimmed edges. Small 8vo hardcover. 7.75 x 4.75 inches. Cloth spine with paper label and gray paper-covered boards. Light wear but about Near Fine overall. Pencil notations and small catalog label in rear of book. New, clear archival jacket. A very nice copy with notable provenance.
