Written by Isaac D'Israeli, though his name isn't stated to the title pages. D'Israeli was a scholar and writer, who was the father of the Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Featuring writings on a wide range of subjects, this collection is a valuable insight into 19th Century politics, travel and many other subjects besides. In half morocco binding with gilt detailing and paper covered boards. Externally smart, with some minor wear to the extremities, joints and backstrip. Internally the book is firmly bound. There is some foxing to the endpapers but the pages are otherwise bright and clean throughout. Very Good
