Cream laid paper watermarked with 'R.H.' within decorative frame. Wrappers detached, with losses. Edges creased, else, clean. Poor. A fragmented copy of H.D.'s poem exploring the her relationship with, and desire for, Paul Robeson, who had starred in the POOL group's experimental feature film, Borderline (1930). One of 475 copies (515 with overrun). The Poetry Quartos was a set of 12 pamphlets (priced at $10 for the set), each containing a new poem by an American poet. The publication was conceived by Paul Johnston, a fine-press publisher from Connecticut. H.D.'s name was not included on the original list, but was submitted by Ezra Pound in his response to Johnston's request. Good+ The first in Colson's set of textbooks on the rehabilitation of the injured (Remedial Gymnastics followed in 1947), it covers a range of activities to aid recovery and promote remedial exercise, including weaving, gardening and domestic work. Colson wrote it for the dual readerships of surgeons and therapists, with ample illustrations for guidance.
