Considered a classic of Civil War literature, exceptionally scarce in dustjacket. Very Good, cloth with general darkening and sporadic surface erosion to cloth which is common for this title, contemporary gift inscription (from a Pennsylvania man to his Tennessee friend) in Very Good original 19th Century dustjacket, with some chipping at top spine end, expected wear and soiling, light stain at top rear panel.

Limited Edition Signed, of 750 copies. Original cloth. Faulkner's sequel to Sanctuary. Near Fine. In custom 1/4 leather slipcase.

London: Smith, Elder, & Co., 1878. First Edition, first issue of the title page to Volume 1 without the quotation mark after "A Pair of Blue Eyes". Sketch Map of the Scene of the Story as frontispiece of volume 1. Half titles in each volume. Octavo, rebound in 3/4 leather over marbled boards. Top edges gilt. Very Good, with light shelf wear, but the spine leather has dried out and cracked. Gilt lettering is legible.

London: Edward Arnold and New York Samuel Buckley & Co., 1903. Number 114 of 150 copies, all printed on vellum. Printed at The Essex House Press, Campden, Gloucestershire, with a frontispiece by W. Strang. Small Octavo, original vellum with gilt lettered spine, and with Arts and Crafts rose in blind with "Soul is Form" in blind. Near fine with light foxing on rear cover; ex-libris bookplate of prior owner on front pastedown.

First Edition. Small quarto, original boards, white lettering and illustration pastedown, with original thin paper illustrated dustjacket. Illustrated by R. K. Culver. An extremely scarce example of a Roosevelt Bears title to be found with its original oversized dustjacket. Near Fine but for several of the black and white illustrations water-colored in by a previous owner, all Culver color plates accounted for, white lettering at front cover bright (little less so at spine), in Very Good dustjacket, some edge chips and a couple closed tears at top front panel (both few inches in length).
