The unfinished diary is deposited among the Blathwayt records in the Gloucestershire Record Office. It is written in French by P. De. Blainville, tutor to William and John, sons of William Blathwayt of Dyrham Park, Gloucestershire. Their journey into the north of England, when William and John were fifteen and thirteen years old respectively, was doubtless a preliminary to the Grand Tour to follow. Notes on each picture by John Christian; an essay on Burne-Jones and his Printmakers by Christopher Newall; a catalogue by Julian Hartnoll. This catalogue includes all the reproductive prints published after paintings by Burne-Jones; these prints were published in limited editions and were intended to be framed and hung. The catalogue does not include prints which were published within books. We have a number of copies available which we purchased direct from the publisher.
