A clear and fine paper of one of the founders of modern physics. This second revised edition is much scarcer than the original of 1901. Lorentz, venerated by Einstein, shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with Pieter Zeeman in 1902. -- (Some occasional foxing).

Muencke of Berlin was a well-known factory of chemical, bacteriological and physical apparatus and appliances.-(A few light waterstains,but a very good copy).

With numerous illustrations. ¶ The Pelvo Medicine Company was another American firm that sold patent medicines who, probably, never were patented. The booklet contains numerous illustrated advertisements of their medicine such as laxatives, hair tonic, food powder etc. Nice copy complete with the order form and return envelop.
