Publisher's stapled illustrated wrappers, oblong octavo, pp. [48]. Richly illustrated. Very Good with light shelf scuffing and rounding of the wrapper tips. Ensconced now in a clear new Ultra-Pro display sleeve.

No publication date given but circa 1990. Publisher's glossy card-stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 64. Richly illustrated. Includes Habsburg Sovereigns Genealogical Table and Palace Rooms Site Plan. GOOD condition with light creasing at bottom corner of front cover. Laid in is a one sheet program from a 1991 Weiner Mozart Konzert. The program has some handling creases on the edges.

Second impression, so stated, in the publisher's original blue cloth with paper spine label, octavo, pp. 140 + [2]. Previous owner 1923 name and an old Boston bookseller ticket on free front endpaper. Light shelf rubs at spine ends and board tips. Paper label a bit worn over the century. Uniform offsetting (attractive and desirable to our eye, we dare say) on endpapers.

Publisher's bright red cloth with spine lettering gilt, octavo, pp. xiv, 112. Small square shadow the size of a postage stamp on free front endpaper near bottom edge (either from a bookseller's ticket or price sticker that dried up and dropped off long ago, leaving no residue or stickiness of any kind. "A companion unobtrusive" as Rush might call it. See image for our best attempt at a close-up). Price-clipped dust jacket just light sun-fading on spine. Also, curiously, the dust jacket was manufactured slightly too short for the book. This is the third and last copy of the book we have had in inventory, and all 3 have had the same minor publisher fault. Jacket now in a removable sheet of protective mylar.

A selection from the Press's Phoenix Living Poet series, in original rust-colored cloth with spine lettering and upper panel Phoenix decoration gilt, octavo, pp. 40. Green Phoenix dust jacket pattern by Enid Marx. Beneath the protective mylar, near the spine of jacket's front panel, is a 1 inch vertical tear with no loss from top-edge downward. Old price sticker near bottom of jacket's interior front flap, as well. This unique copy from the personal collection of renowned American poet and Founder of the Cleveland Poetry Center, Lewis P. Turco, with his signature and date on the free front endpaper as well as his tasteful private library seal embossed at bottom corner of title page.

Removed from a bound volume, octavo, pp. 42. Light shelf and handling wear. GOOD and sound and ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. American Imprints 30734.

Reprinted from Volume 47, Number 3, July, 1973 Issue of The Filson Club History Quarterly, Louisville, Kentucky, in stapled wrappers, octavo, and paginated 267-283. A bit of a rumpled affair, as though consulted frequently by previous owner. Wrappers are toned and have some light old tide marks the color of weak tea. Protected now in a clear display sleeve with white card-stock backing board.

Publisher's original yellow cloth over dark blue boards, octavo, pp. 255. Black and white illustrations. Price-clipped dust jacket rubbed and chipped at spine ends and flap fold tips but protected now by a sheet of removable Brodart.

SIGNED by the author on the free front endpaper. First edition, octavo, pp. 353 plus colophon. Very Good in the publisher's red cloth over yellow boards. Dust jacket Very Good and ensconced in a clear protective sheet of archival mylar. NOTE: Tasteful "Autographed Copy" sticker on dust jacket front panel beneath the mylar.

Publisher's faded black cloth spine over green card stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 146. Eight illustrations by Darley. A FAIR-only reading copy with many old stains across top edge and upper portion of fore-edge (see Photos). Johnson Jones Hooper was former editor of the Montgomery Mail newspaper. Alabama author Rhoda Coleman Ellison refers to his Suggs character as an "incarnation of frontier rascality." Previous owner has made a long gift inscription to a friend on the free front endpaper. Some foxing on top edge and bottom edge.
