There was a long time ago, that the plantation owners of the St. James, Santee parish in the low country of South Carolina, would gather together to form a planters club and a agricultural society for both social gatherings and an exchange of new farming methods. All meeting records of the planters club were lost in a fire shortly after the civil war. The agricultural club was reorganized in 1903.
I believe that this copy is a REPRINT of the original. The original was first printed in Charleston, SC with the printing company information on the front cover. 49 pages in very good condition.

Ten pages of introduction. Seventy eight pages b&w, color photos, and illustrations featuring some of South Carolina's most famous old gardens. Good condition.
