Christy was born in 1889 and lost her hearing as a small child. She recorded her memories of growing up in a large family with a loving stepmother and schoolteacher father, going to Halifax to attend a school for the deaf, and many other experiences. A warm, lovely story.

Includes a portfolio of framable Norman Rockwell covers, printed on both sides so unfortunately you must choose a side or have a copy made of one side if you choose to frame them. Overall very good condition, no interior marks or damage, advertising cards intact. Some rubbing and light wear at corners and edges. VG-

Thayer was rescued from an ignominious fate posing as a "pirate ship" in Seattle, to make her last voyage back to her original home port of San Francisco and a more dignified last berth at the San Francisco Maritime Museum. M A C (presumably for Manitoba Agricultural College) and subsequent owners, but has stood up well. All pages intact, text block firm, pages clean and only slightly age-darkened.
