In a contempporary full vellum binding, gilt spine title. Cover gilt rubbed, boards yawning, as is typical with vellum, else a fine copy. One of 350 copies, from a total edition of 352. A medieval French romance that tells the fantastical story of Coustans, a commoner who marries the daughter of a pagan emperor. Through a series of events, Coustans becomes emperor himself and converts the land to Christianity. The story also mentions the founding of Constantinople. While the specific location of "Over Sea" is not mentioned, it likely refers to a faraway and fantastical land in the East. Kelmscott Bibliography, No. 26. .

This copy bound in the somewhat scarce publisher's brown leather, spine intricately gilt and with the title and illustration on the upper board, as in the more common vellum and morocco bindings. Illustrated endpapers. Top edge gilt. Light wear to the inner hinges else this is a fine copy with only a trace of sunning to the spine. One of 525 copies signed by Pogany, of which this is number 272. Lohengrin comes to us courtesy of Wolfram von Eschenbach, where is is described as the son of Sir Perceval (Parzifal). When Parzifal becomes the Grail King, Lohengrin becomes the Grail Knight, and his twin inherits Parzifal's secular lands. .

Collector's Edition. 8vo. 179,(1)pp. Simulated leather, spine with raised bands, silver-colored metal corners, center metal skull vignette and metal clasp, all with blue stones. Ribbon marker. Protected in a maroon velvet string-top bag, bearing the embroidered signature of J. K. Rowling in gilt thread, the whole housed in a book-shaped clamshell case blocked in blind on the upper and lower boards, and on the spine in gilt. The case is shaped within with a recessed compartment to fit the book in its velvet bag. Also within in their own printed envelope are ten 7 by 10 inch Collector's Edition Prints which slip into a special flap in the upper board. A new copy, still in the original white slipcase cover, encased in clear plastic and in the original shipping box.

Spine a little darkened, light wear to the tips and edges, else this is a very good copy. There are reports that this title was actually printed in 1899, in spite of the 1900 imprint. Five mounted plates plus one on the cover. The Ffoulke assemblage "is rich in the finest examples of the Gobelins, Royal Aubusson, Beauvais and Flemish weaves, executed by artist weavers whose names stand for the highest achievements in this art>"--from the final page. Stiff wrappers tied with yarn. Wrppers soiled, trace of foxing witrhin especially on the tissue plate protectors, else this is a vyer good copy.

Illustrated with illustrations taken from the work of 16th century printers in New Spain. Two large folding pages, facsimiles of the work of Espinosa. One is from the Graduale dominicale of 1576, the other from the Graduale sanctoral of 1578. Finely printed letterpress on Tamayo de Ponte paper in black, but with the title and some initials in red also. Bindings by Fermín Urbina. Edition limited to 210 copies. Illustrated with plates and in-text illustrations. Light wear to the edges and hinges but a near fine copy. The author spent time at the Lucheza Ranch near Kerrville, and also took trips to San Francisco and Yosemite, as well as into Mexico before returning to England. Rare in first edition. Spine well faded, edges and spine tips and portions of the board worn, loose in binding, but still a fair copy. A collection of poems known for their descriptive nature and historical themes related to Texas. But this copy has a two page inscription by Lena Dancy Ledbetter, a Texas civic leader and amateur composer,.Her papers are at the University of Texas. In 1888 she arrived in Coleman, Texas. "Our home (corner of 5th Ave. and Pecan Street) bought from Dr. G. B. Beaumont, built before the Santa Fee (sic) reached Coleman...."
