Grosset & Dunlap, 1918 This one of the Tuck-Me-In Tales with ten titles listed on the front flap, this the last title and ten titles listed in the preliminaries with the order of the last two titles being reversed making this the next to last title. The four color plates listed in the contents are all present with two being inserted between the wrong pages. Pencil inscription and 1918 Christmas seal on front endpaper, first few pages with finger soil, the rest largely unread. Jacket with chips and tears at the extremities.

David McKay, 1930 Nice Potter book with five color and many black and white illustrations. Front pastedown has a small scuff, top board a minor bump. There is shelfwear, one plate reattached with archival glue, rear endpaper proud. Attractive Potter book with pastedown of Pig Robinson in easy chair looking through spyglass.

Putnam, 1933 345 pages plus index, endpapers foxed.

London, 1884 Tales from the Arabic of the Breslau and Calcutta [1814-1818] editions of the book of the thousand nights adn one night not occurring in the texts of the work, now first done into English by John Payne in three volumes, copy #178. Three vojumes bound in vellum with gilt decorations. The vellum is darkened with Vol. 1 showing some spots. Top edge gilt with other edges untrimmed. Each volume has a bookplate with volume one having offsetting [browning where some paper was laid inside. Mildly ex-lib with small ink accession numbers on the spine and faded ink stamps on copyright page.

London: Macmillan & Co, 1871 Two volumes bound in dark brown cloth with gilt decorations, [i]-xi, .errata, 1-277, 2 pp ads; [i] - vi, 1-272, illustrated with wood block prints. Both volumes cocked and with a little bubbling to the covers, front board of volume 2 cracked at gutter but still holding, Gilt illustrations on both covers quite bright. Interiors quite bright and clean. Original owner dated both volumes "Xmas 1870" on front flyleaf and again in light pencil on hte half title of volume 2.

Dutton, 1943 This is a book club edition inscribed and signed by the author, "With my warmest/ personal greetings, and/ all good wishes/ Jesse Stuart/Jan 17th, 1977.

Grosset & Dunlap Bound in red cloth which is somewhat darkened, small fade spot at top of spine where cover isn't protected by the jacket. Jacket has a chip at the head of spine, few small closed tears. Book has wartime notice, pages evenly tanned. This is the Madison Square printing.

1933 This is a set of three hollow ceramic statuettes from the Foulds set c 1933. Set includes a 4 1/2" Tarzan, Numa the Lion and Kala the mother ape with a blonde child. Pieces are undamaged. Feel free to ask for pics.

Whitman, 1934 Apparenttly unread copy with tanned leaves and the following flaws:one rounded corner on the back board, rubbed spine extremities, worm hole to the upper margin to pp 397-420, front hinge cracked [dropped from a height of about 10" while I examined it]. Still this copy opens as if it had never been read.

London: Hutchinson& Co., 1905 Bound in green cloth with gilt decorations, top edge gilt, 336 pp. This copy with wear at tips, back cover rubbed, rear hinge cracked, exposing fabric [still holding strongly]. A good to very good copy.

Boston: William Pierce, 1834 Early education work by this prolific author of children's stories. Bound in period cloth that has faded to a dull red. Frontis is an engraved false title page with 1833 date, title page is dated 1834. Heavy foxing to endpapers, light scattered foxing throughout.
