Bound in publisher's original wrappers, with new spine. Ink stamp to front cover and pages toned.

Three extremely influential papers marking the theoretical foundation for modern quantum mechanics and defining the discipline: "Uber quantentheorestische Umdeutung kinematischer und mechanischer Beziehungen" by Werner Heisenberg; "Zur Quantenmechanik" by Max Born and Pasqual Jordan; and "Zur Quantenmechanik II" by Born, Heisenberg and Jordan. In Zeitschrift fur Physik, Vols. 33, total pp.879-950 (Heisenberg paper pp. 879-893); Vol. 34, total pp. 795-953, lean to spine; (Born, Jordan paper 858-888); Vol. 35, total pages pp. 557-722; (Born, Heisenberg, Jordan pp 557-615). Heisenberg received the Nobel Prize for physics in 1932 for his establishment of quantum mechanics.

In contemporary marbled paper boards over vellum spine with titles neatly hand-painted in red and black; with original front and rear wraps bound in. Very Good with rubbing to the binding, contents toned, small abrasion to the front pastedown, chipping to gutter of title page.

Very Good or better with foxing to spine, light mottling to cloth at bottom edges of covers. In a Nvery Good dust jacket with publisher's correct price of 3/6 at the foot of the spine; lightly soiled and edge worn, with foxing and tanning to the blindside and with a crease to the rear flap. Rare in the dust jacket, unrestored and entirely in original condition.

A controversial investigatory book linking the Son of Sam murders with Charles Manson and a nationwide network of clandestine satanic groups including the Process Church. Near Fine with the fragile wraps in truly excellent shape; very rarely found unsophisticated with such little wear, especially on the spine, which typically has much, much more chipping and wear; no restoration done to it. Typical toning to contents, bump to bottom right corner with a hint of creasing. A literary milestone in wonderful shape.

[xvii], 768pp. Near Fine with cloth slightly rubbed, light soiling at edges. Contents lightly toned, overall bright and fresh. A clean copy of Joyce's masterwork.

Bound without wraps in mid-twentieth century cloth, utilizing the title from original front cover to title the spine; cloth lightly lifted at seams. Very Good. Several James Joyce-related clippings tipped in to preliminary pages, offsetting to rear endsheets from laid in clipping. A nice, early copy of Joyce's modernist masterpiece, from it's original Paris publisher.

Very Near Fine with subtle bowing to boards, a little offsetting to endpapers and few tiny stains, in an unclipped dust jacket, very lightly shelfworn, else Fine. An attractive copy of the classic novel.

London: John Lane the Bodley Head, 1937. First Edition Thus. Near Fine. An exceedingly scarce presentation copy of the first English edition printed in England, limited issue signed by James Joyce. One of 100 copies (from a total edition of 1000 copies, this copy unnumbered) printed on mould-made paper and bound in full calf vellum. This copy was reserved for presentation by the author, unnumbered at the colophon with the words "Presentation Copy" inscribed in calligraphy below the limitation. The only other copy of this edition of 100 that we could locate that bears the presentation inscription (this copy also unnumbered) was from Joyce's private library now housed in the Poetry Collection at the University at Buffalo. They also hold two other copies of the Bodley Head Ulysses (1/900) that also bear the words "Presentation Copy" on the edition statement: one having been owned by Joyce and the other by Sylvia Beach.
