With centre double page colour paintings of the submarine including cutaway view, as well as many historic b&w photos and line drawings in text. Includes the service of USS Bowfin in the Pacific war against Japan. A Very Good copy. The pages are clean and well bound, with some rust to staples in centre , and very light handling marks to the wrappers.

The author worked for a Briish company in Odessa, and describes various economic and social aspects of life in Russia since the October Revolution, including famine and Stalin's represssion.
