Gedruckt und verlegt bei Anton Koberger in Nürnberg in der berühmten Schedelschen Weltchronik im Dezember 1493. Prächtig handkolorierte Stadtansicht, rückseitig ebenfalls illustriert mit kleineren handkolorierten Darstellungen von Heiligen im Holzschnitt. Deutsche Textausgabe. Diese Ansicht von Ulm ist eine der frühesten erhältlichen authentischen Stadtansichten, gedruckt und verlegt kurz vor 1500. Dieser Holzschnitt wurde exakt im Dezember 1493 gedruckt und verlegt bei Anton Koberger in Nürnberg. Die Holzschnitte wurden überwiegend von Pleydenwurff geschnitten. The title was engraved in the middle and a cartouche with the inscription "Ulma imperialis in Suevia urbs, fortissimo aquae et muror ambitu, magnifico templo, et Danubij propiquitate illustris" added to the bottom left. View of Ulm with the city fortifications and the moat, the minster and town hall as well as the field management at the gates of the city. Georg Braun (also Brunus, Bruin; 1541 – 10 March 1622) was a topo-geographer. From 1572 to 1617 he edited the Civitates orbis terrarum, which contains 546 prospects, bird's-eye views and maps of cities from all around the world. He was the principal editor of the work, he acquired the tables, hired the artists, and wrote the texts. This fine engraving was published in Gabriel Bodenehr’s famous serious “Europeans Macht und Pracht”, a series of engravings depicting city views, plans, fortresses and castles in Europe. Many plates often are showing fortifications in Hungary and Southeast Europe, Spain, Belgium, Austria and Germany. Gabriel Bodenehr was during this period a successful publisher for maps and prints in Augsburg in Southern Germany. Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (1664-1758 or 1673-1765) was a German map maker and member of a famous engraver and publisher family of Augsburg. His main work was "Atlas Curieux" first published 1704. He was the son of Johann Georg Bodenehr (1631-1703). Gabriel's son was Gabriel Bodenehr the Younger (1705–1792). In excellent condition. 140 by 500mm (5 by 19 inches).

The map shows the area from Herderwyck in the north to Wyck in the south, from Delshaven in the west to Grave in the east. This is the first so-called Cloppenburgh editions which was a competive edition with new engraved maps in a larger format. Most of the maps were engraved by Pieter van den Keere. The Cloppenburgh edition was continued for a couple of years but seems to have been suppressed after 1636.... This is another Cloppenburgh edition, now with Latin text. The maps from the Appendix have been incorporated. The title-page is followed by a dedication to Prince Frederik Hendrik, dated 1632 and signed by Johannes Cloppenburgh. Very decorative map of Utrecht and its surroundings of the Netherlands. Joan Blaeu (23 September 1596 – 21 December 1673) was a Dutch cartographer born in Alkmaar, the son of cartographer Willem Blaeu. In 1620 he became a doctor of law but he joined the work of his father. In 1635 they published the Atlas Novus (full title: Theatrum orbis terrarum, sive, Atlas novus) in two volumes. Joan and his brother Cornelius took over the studio after their father died in 1638. Joan became the official cartographer of the Dutch East India Company. Magnificent large panoramic view by Gerrit van Schagen of the city of Utrecht (Ultrajectum) in the Netherlands seen across fields with rural landscape in the foreground. At the top in the centre a title banderole,Ultrajectum’, in the upper right and left corner two coat of arms of the city of Utrecht and the Netherlands. At the bottom of the map with detailled text poems in Dutch, Latin and German by Iacobus Heiblocq. Towards the right side with key numbers 1-23 of the most important buildings in Utrecht. A very strong sharp impression. A few carefully restorations in the paper, mostly in the margins or in blank parts of the map. Overall a very good to excellent rare map or view.
