VERY GOOD+ minor bruising to spine ends and rubbing. Very tight(unread?) very clean, and very square. DJ has wear and chipping(worst bottom spine takes out the name of the publishers) minor chipping to the edges.

WEBBING SHOWING AT THE MAIN TITLE PAGE,INSIDE THE BACK COVER WEAK AT PG 16,BOOK DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN READ MORE THAN A FEW TIMES,BUT IT HAS 13 TIMES.BLACK CLOTH WITH BRUISED SPINE ENDS(NOT BUMPED),SUNNED OR DIRTY SPINE-LABEL LOOKS DIRTY BUT VERY READABLE,AGE TONING OF THE PAGE ENDS.BETTER THAN THE GOOD CONDITION LISTED.

Stated First Edition, spine is faded some and stamped inside cover bookstore, previous owner name in ink below the stamp. The bottom spine end is short from the factory making any damage hard, the top is rather long but has little damage. DJ is missing large chunks and the front flap altogether, but it has one. This book is a nice gap filler. The page with the pencil paragraph I erased it but shadows remain.

I have seen this variant since 1925 on other titles as a variant. It is a stated First Edition and is not rebound, corner protectors, black cloth spine, paper labels. The book is fairly tight and clean and square. Please see the photos for more details.
