A very good, clean, tight copy in very good minus jacket. The text supported by a number of photographic illustrations. No inscriptions. A neat printed former book seller's name and and address stamp to the centre of title page. The jacket has not been price-clipped; it has a little creasing and rubbing to the head and rubbing to the peripheries and some fading to the spine. The jacket is in a fully reversible, transparent plastic sleeve.

Blue ink inscripton ' For Dennis Bird best wishes, Norman Franks' to the title page and signed by Ronnie Rotheram in the margin adjacent to his photograph on the illustration page pp131. Silver embossed lettering to the spine and illustrated with numerous b/w photographs and several maps. There are light bumps to the head and tail of the spine with slight creasing to the overlying wrapper. Fresh and clean. Dust wrapper not price clipped with slight shelf wear. No tears or loss. Clean and bright. A very good copy.

Pulp fiction type title but in original publisher's blue boards stamped in yellow to the spine and to the front board. Sprung so the front board is away from the spine, but rather interestingly reveals the gatherings all being titled and lettered. No inscriptions. The textblock remains tight and the pages a little toned (cheap paper) but very clean. Would be a very good copy but for the front board being sprung. Scarce.

Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Large. 107pp. A well preserved copy of this book being a record of the symposium at the university department of surgery Royal Infirmary Sheffield, under the auspices of the Sheffield National Centre for Radiotherapy on thursday November 10th , 1966. Gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spine. One corner of the front board has been lightly bumped and there are a couple of light bumps to the lower edge of the front board. Slight indentation to the top edge of a couple of pages of te textblock which is fresh and clean. A very good copy.

Plate iii is a super steel engraving of Ruston, Proctor & Co.'s Condensing Engine, fitted with Crab claw gear. Gilt embossed title to the spine. Original publisher's cloth. A pencil name, place and date to the front endpaper. Very neat ink name stamp to the head of the contents page and to the head of the title page. Light toning to the spine. Light or slight rubbing to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine. A 1.5cm expertly repaired tear to the margin of one folding plate. A very good, clean, tight well preserved copy.

The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions of the artists' work. No inscriptions. The wrappers have not been price-clipped - they have slight shelf wear. The cloth slipcase has a little shelf wear and a couple of tiny light soil marks. A super, well preserved two volume catalogue raisonne.

One light stain (with tide mark) to corner of front board - concealed by wrapper - no other signs of damp damage. One small stain to rear cloth board - 1cm in diameter also concealed by wrapper. A split running down entire length or rear inner hinge - rear board a little shaken. A good, clean copy.

The text supported by numerous plates - a number of which are in colour and are tipped in. Grey cloth embossed with brown text. A very good, tight, clean copy in a good original wrapper. No inscriptions. The wrapper has not been price-clipped. There is a 4cm tear to the lower panel, which has been repaired with acid-free archival tape and a 3cm tear to the tail of the front panel of the wrapper, which has been expertly repaired. There is a triangular shaped tear(s) towards the head of the spine of the wrapper with some loss - the tear now expertly repaired and around 2cm in length. A very well preserved copy.

A couple of tears of no more than 1.5 cm from the top edge of the front of the wrapper, now repaired with acid free archival tape to the reverse of the wrapper. Slight sunning along one edge of the wrapper. Clean and tight. A very good copy.
