A Mexican-Amercan sheriff must resort to violence against a powerful rancher in order to get just compensation for the pregnant Indian widow of a wrongly-killed black man. The D/W has benefitted from highly skilled restoration by one of the World's leading paper conservators to a 2 cm loss at the head of the spine and 2.2 cm (at its deepest) at the base of the spine. A further chip just affecting the publisher's logo at the left hand edge of the spine has also been restored. The D/W now shows as a VG+ example.
