Description:
Philadelphia: Lippincott; (1963). First Edition . Soft cover. Advance proof copy of the author's first book, near fine in wraps. The gray/green wraps have slight wear at the edges, with a tiny tear at the bottom of the front cover where it joins the spine. The spine is creased, but due to the binding glue. The creases were in all likelihood there when the book was new. A scarce state of one of the most auspicious debuts of post-war American literature.
