A Canadian artist's book. Ten short poems by Canadian printer and author Phil Hall over abstract illustrations by artist Michèle LaRose; letterpress by Hugh Barclay. Barclay's colophon text is written in the first-person and laments budget cuts to Library and Archives Canada (and calls readers to "press for responsible government"). Scarce, with WorldCat showing only seven locations, all in Canada.

"How "stag" movies have become regular fare in neighborhood theaters across America. And how you can be certain these same filthy movies will be featured as the "Monday Night at the Movies" on network television one year from today." The commies are behind it of course.

San Francisco, 1987. Brochure on newsprint folding out to a 22x34 inch color poster advertising the show, small label has been affixed to correct the address to 1160 Bryant Street on the outside cover page, otherwise very good. Poster design is by Jonathon Whitman, who sponsored the show.

Team first appeared in "New Mutants" #100. This version of the team was reimagined by Milligan and Allred and began with #116 and was canceled after #129. Characters include African American and gay characters Anarchist, Spike, and Phat as well as other members of X-Statix team which replaced this version of X-Force. Issue numbers included are: 121-129.

Paperback. ix, 587p., reproduced from a keyboard-set text (uniform font) with no illustrations; massive paperbound in 8x6 inch decorated orange wraps; covers mildly rubbed, paperstock slightly toned, a clean sound copy (of one of the two (?) volumes that were issued).

Paperback. 111p. plus extensive appended material, mostly colorful advertisements, with back cover being a fold-out plat map of festival area, also in colors. Texts in Slavic and English, with select paragraphs in French. Softbound in 9x6.5 inch decorated frenchfold wraps, an elaborate (and expensive) promotional piece, has external edgewear with a small chip at the tail (now repaired) and a tiny sticker scar, contents are unmarked, a good copy.

San Francisco: San Francisco Committee for the Aid of Russian Disabled Veterans Outside of Russia, 1949. Pamphlet. 12p. stablebound booklet, 6x9 inches, generally very good with some minor handling wear and dust soil. The Ball, held to raise money for veterans, was a major event on the social calendar. The guests of honor included exiled royals, and the programs are packed with ads for local businesses serving the Russian and other Slavic communities. Maria Zudilova, the mother of Hollywood icon Natalie Wood (born Natasha Zacharenko), was an active member of the community, and Natalie herself, who was eleven years old, is mentioned. The program notes that "Coronation of the Queen and Princess of the Ball will be performed by Natalie Wood - our famous young Hollywood star.

Widely-despised and short-lived parody replacement for X-Force. Issue numbers include: 2-6, 8, 9, 11-22. The series began as an appearance in issue #117 of X-Force then became a separate series beginning with #1 (not included here) and ended with #26 (also not included) Included a self-avowed "token Black Canadian" African American character called Anarchist, a gay superhero named Bloke, another gay man named Phat and yet another African American named Spike.
