Description:
I would have listed like new, but there is minor wear on the covers and spine.
Bakery owner Natalie is shocked when, on their fourteenth wedding anniversary, her husband announces he's leaving her for another woman. She can barely believe it's happening.
Humiliated and angry doesn't quite sum it up. She stays strong for her daughter, but it isn't easy. Enter her wild sister and pragmatic business partner. The two of them convince Natalie to do a makeover, and in a crazy move, she changes her mousy dull hair to a brilliant blonde.
Meanwhile, she's trying to expand her Seattle bakery but runs into an obstacle with her annoyingly handsome landlord.
Women usually love astronomer Anthony Novello. The one exception is his new tenant, Natalie. He's never met a woman more difficult. But when Anthony returns from a telescope observing run, he observes something that's not celestial. An attraction between him and Natalie.
Sparks fly as he convinces her to go out with him. She has her doubts. Lots of them. But… Read More

Signed and Inscribed by the Author! The pages are clear and readable and are in excellent condition. There's minor to moderate wear on the covers and spine.

Winner of the 1970 Gold Dagger Award, British Crime Writers' Association W. Sledge is a successful young criminal who has achieved too much, too soon. Living in a pleasant council flat in a London tower block, he owns a Jaguar, receives unemployment benefit and keeps an underage mistress. In his own eyes, W. Sledge has everything, until a routine robbery goes too far. The result is murder, and when the crime incites latent psychopathic tendencies, he murders again. As his path intertwines with a runaway girl and his childhood friend, this award-winning story comes to an immoral but extraordinary climax.

Description:
First Edition. The pages are clear and readable.

You're My Hero, Charlie Brown! (made up of selected cartoons from Peanuts Every Sunday Vol. 2) is a really good collection of fairly early Peanuts comics, each of them of the longer Sunday variety. Sally is basically just a toddler in these cartoons (Linus even teaches her how to hold a blanket and suck her thumb), Snoopy is constantly trying to take Linus' blanket away from him, and Lucy is constantly asserting her dominance over Linus. Despite the title, you won't find a lot of good days in the life of Charlie Brown in this collection. He can never get his kite up in the air, he's ridiculed as wishy-washy, and he always feels as if no one really likes him. I think there's actually more of Linus than any other character in this book, though (which is fine with me because Linus was always the character I could identify with the most). Not only do you get to see his struggles to remember his part in the Christmas program, you also get to witness his… Read More
