The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings, and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. Color and black and white Illustrations by Danuta Mayer. Green pictorial endpapers. Issued without dust jacket. Introduced by Maria Tartar. Slipcase has very faint rubbing. 358 pages. 7¾ x 10" tall.
The Yellow Fairy Book was the fifth of Lang's Rainbow Fairy Books series and was originally published in 1894. It contains 48 tales from all over the world and features many stories from Hans Christian Andersen, as well as tales from Russia, Hungary, Iceland and America.
Stories include "Thumbelina," "The Nightingale," "The Tinder-box," "Story of the Emperor's New Clothes," and many more.
