Description:
[North Hollywood, CA]: L'Imagerie Editions Fine Art, 1990. First Edition. Ephemera. Fine. Four 20 by 20 inch single color (black) serigraphs / screenprints of cover art designs Crumb made for the Winds of Change environmental newspaper in the early 1980s. Crumb joined the staff as an art director and drew many covers, spot drawings, and cartoons, but ultimately he found the work-which involved a lot of consensus-building meetings-to be creatively stifling, even if he agreed with the politics. Issued in an edition of 150 copies, a small print run for a Crumb publication, but perhaps its overtly political content does not appeal to the fans of Crumb's anarchic sensibility. A fine set of screenprints in a near fine folding paper portfolio envelope. This is copy 7 of 150 signed by Crumb on a limitation sheet laid into the portfolio.

Description:
(N.-pl.): [United Service Organizations?], 1944. Ephemera. Very good. A homefront poster promoting donations to the United Service Organizations, a group that funded and produced entertainment for American soldiers during the Second World War. While movie stars and hot musical acts performed at some USO events, this poster shows a more modest offering-a soldier with a rifle and helmet having a cup of coffee and a cigarette. 14 by 22 inches. This is an original World War II poster, not a reproduction. Very good; printed on cardstock. With minor loss at the corners. SHIPS FLAT.

Description:
Berkeley: Quinto Sol, 1971. First Edition. Trade paperback. Very good. Winner of the first Premio Quinto Sol for Chicano literature, and in print pretty much continuously since, with several different English translations, this is probably the first enduring classic of the Chicano Civil Rights era. This novel, in the form of vignettes written in Spanish, with English translations on the facing pages, offers jarring and moving glimpses into the lives of migrant workers as they seek a better life amidst the exploitation and cruelty they find in the fields and cities of America. . In 1994, Rivera's book was filmed as "... and the Earth Did Not Swallow Him," an award-winning independent film. xxi, 177 pages. This is the trade paperback issue. There was a "deluxe" paperback printed on thicker paper, and a hardcover. All three variants are notable for their lack of cover design. They are brown, like the earth, adorned only by the author's name stamped in gilt on the spine. First edition (first…
