The author's first serious novel. Maurice Girodias published it under his Olympia Press imprint among the pornographic titles Trocchi was producing for him under the name Frances Lengel (White Thighs, School for Sin, etc). This New Englsh Library edition is a continuation of Girodias's involvement, being no. 109 in his Traveller's Companion series. The novel was filmed in 2003 with Ewan McGregor in the title role.Presentation copy from the author, inscribed by him inside the front cover: ''For Dr Aylett with best wishes - Alexander Trocchi''.A bit of rubbing to edges of covers. Very good. Books inscribed by Trocchi are quite elusive.
