Tauchnitz was a notable family of German publishers, producing English language literature for distribution across the European continent. In the original quarter morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, with some rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the spine and extremities, with a small amount of loss of leather to the spine. Small patch of loss to the head of the rear board. Hinges are starting but firm. Bound without the rear endpaper. Ink inscription to the front paste down. Front endpaper is detaching. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some odd spots. Half-title is a little torn. Stamp to the title page. Good
