Single annotation in script, in holograph pencil, on the verso of page 70 listing three names.

Whaling ship captain Bering Joy (Lionel Barrymore) takes his grandson Jed (Dean Stockwell) along on an expedition, intent on teaching the boy life values, which ensues a battle of wills between the captain and First Mate Lunceford (Richard Widmark).

Set in 19th century Massachusetts, shot on location at Seal Beach, California.

Yellow titled wrappers, noted as SECOND REVISED FIRST DRAFT CONTINUITY on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 7 and production No. 143, dated FEBRUARY 10, 1948. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Title page present, dated February 10, 1948, noted as 2nd Revised / 1st Draft Continuity. 143 leaves, with last page of text numbered 141. Set in nineteenth-century Massachusetts, shot on location at Seal Beach, California. Blue titled wrappers, dated July 13, 1938, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 143. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Title page present, dated July 13, 1948, noted as Final Script. 151 leaves, with last page of text numbered 148. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 8/17/48 and 10/2/48.
