One annotation in holograph pencil to "CAST" page adding actor Buster Crabbe's name to lead character Kaspa. Script divided into sequences, as was customary for the period.

Based on Charles Thurley Stoneham's 1931 novel "The Lion's Way: A Story of Men and Lions," and was the 1932 Olympic gold medalist swimmer Larry "Buster" Crabbe's starring debut.

Both parents killed by lions during a photographic expedition in Africa, a young boy (Crabbe) is reared by lions until his capture and sale to a circus in San Francisco, where he is named Kaspa.

Paramount's attempt to capitalize on MGM's success with the 1932 W.S. Van Dyke film "Tarzan the Ape Man," the first of the twelve film series starring Johnny Weissmuller, based loosely on Edgar Rice Burroughs' 1912 novel (the first in a series of 24 novels) "Tarzan of the Apes." Buster Crabbe would go on to star as Tarzan in Robert Hill's 1933 "Tarzan the Fearless."

Set in Africa and San Francisco, shot on location in Busch Gardens, Paramount Ranch, and Santa Catlina Island, California.
