Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with minor corner bumping and crushing to ends. Heavy bleach spotting overall, with visible water staining to front board. Gilt remains bright. Unclipped jacket. Light tanning and foxing to all surfaces. Panels and spine have moderate edgewear, with noticeable chipping, tearing and creasing, and slight loss to spine ends.
