First edition. Illustrated with sixteen plates and many in-text figures. Collated complete. A detailed commentary on the Chindit War, the largest of all the allied special forces during the Second World War. With particular focus on their campaign in Burma in which long range penetration brigades would march into Burma to disrupt enemy communications behind their front lines and prepare the way for the main forces to recapture the area. Written by Reginald George Shelford "Ginger" Bidwell, a British Army officer and military historian. Bound by Maltbys of Oxford. Bound in half green crushing morocco with green cloth boards.
