"Switchback, which was a mixture of psychological suspense and science fiction, met with mixed critical reception (Booklist gave it a starred review and called it "fine little genre-bending adventure," but Publishers Weekly called it "less than credible." ). Nevertheless, it was nominated for the 2007 Best First Novel award by the International Thriller Writers association. Con Ed, which was second novel that Klein wrote (but in some countries was published before Switchback) , was generally critically praised. Its review in The New York Times called it: "funny, full of tricks and very, very hard to put down." " (from Wikipedia) .
