London: William Pickering, 1843. Lovely half red leather and half marbled paper over boards binding by Blunson & Co. Raised spine bands with leather spine labels. Gilt decoration and lettering. Top edges are gilded. Marbled end leaves. 94 engraved plates with many colored and others being duo-tone. Illuminated initials begin each chapter, and there are numerous other flourishes and decoration. Covers show light wear at corners and there are a few light scuffs and spots of rubbing seen on leather. There are a few small scuffs seen on gilded top edges. Both volumes remain tight, bright, and very clean. Due to weight, additional charges will apply for International shipping.. First Edition. Half Leather. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 4to.
