Maxwell-Barbour. With a colour frontispiece, numerous plates throughout, and a number of facsimile reproductions of engravers' marks. Collated, complete. A fascinating study of engraving, detailing the history and development of the discipline. In a red cloth binding with gilt title and design detailing to the front board and spine. Externally, sound with light rubbing in places, bumping to the extremities and some marks to boards. With a little fraying and very slight loss to the extremities. The hinges are tender. Internally, generally firmly bound, although strained in places. The pages are generally bright and clean with scattered spotting and minor age toning, and handling marks to the endpapers. Good
