Scarce first edition of this satirical parody of the poems of the Spasmodic poets, written in their form of verse drama. Authored by Scottish poet William Edmonstoune Aytoun under pen name of T. Percy Jones. This parody contributed to ending the vogue of spasmodic poems. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with shelf wear, minor loss to head of spine, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, light chipping to joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Good
