First edition of this work presenting a short dictionary of useful scientific and artistic terms compiled by Walter Hamilton. A scarce copy. Starting with Abacus and concluding with Zygophyllum. Rebound in half calf over marbled boards, titles in gilt to morocco spine label. Externally sound with shelf wear, considerably rubbed and lightly scuffed to spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor odd spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise generally bright and clean. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
