About This Item
London: Cassell, 1970. First edition, first printing. Published by Cassell in London, 1970. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Nicholas Flower, has some moderate separation at the corners and some mild creasing throughout. It is worn at the spine tips, again with separation. There is a large but closed tear to the rear panel, again with creasing along the bottom edge. It has not been price clipped, showing the original £10 net price. A previous seller has written £35=0 on the front fly. The boards are slightly loose though bright and mostly clean in a spectacular orange cloth. There is slight bumping at the tail of the spine. Aside from the aforementioned, this book is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good copy. A comprehensive and detailed study of the evolution of this most personal of weapons, containing over 800 illustrations.
