About This Item
Here Is My Body follows the life of Irene (aka, Renie), one of seven children born to a poor couple in a mining town. She vows to rise above these humble beginnings, and uses her beauty to achieve it.
Buried in the subtext of this otherwise unremarkable novel is a revealing glimpse of American morality and mores in the post-war era. It also says a great deal about the attitudes towards women before the 1970s feminist movement.
Fawcett Gold Medal #S1210, 1952. Paperback. Good/No Dust Jacket. Paperback original (PBO), third printing, April 1962. Shelf rubbed, light edge and corner wear. Yellow edge tint. Pages tight, text clean, lightly tanned.

That's why all of our books are individually described in detail, and individually scanned. We do not use generic descriptions or stock photos. The book you are looking at is the book on our shelf.
