London: Constable & Company Limited, 1920. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. With an Introductory Memoir by J.C. Squire. Frontispiece portrait. An interesting history of chartism, a movement established and controlled by working men in 1836 to achieve parliamentary democracy as a step towards social and economic reform. Original red cloth binding, with gilt stamping. Small ink signature and a bookseller's label to the front endpaper. The spine is sun faded, with some minor bumping and wear along the extremities; otherwise very good.
