Benham.Colour folding map to the rear of text which depicts the physical features of Ceylon, and specifically shows the 'park, plain, and forests' of the region. This is work on sporting and hunting by Harry Storey, which focuses upon sporting within the country of Ceylon. This work was written as a result of the author realising that only one other book existed which focused upon Ceylon sport. Contents include 'Pigeons', 'Small Game Hunting with Dogs on Estates', 'The Buffalo', 'Spotted Deer', and 'Bears and Water-Hole Shooting'. Written by Harry Storey, a self-described 'Ceylon Sportsman'. With additional contributions by a range of writers, including Thos. Farr, Lieut.-Col. E. Gordon Reeves, E. L. Boyd, H. R. Spence, and R. A. G. Festing. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. A bit of wear to the extremities and the spine, particularly the head and tail of spine. Wear along the front joint, with the binding underneath becoming exposed along the top edge. Light fading to spine and a few marks to rear board. Offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, with light age-toning to the margins of text. Spotting particularly to the first and last few pages of text. Folding map is bright and clean, with medium-sized closed tear to top of map. Good
