About the author

Rebecca T. Godwin has published two novels, Keeper of the House and Private Parts. Her work has appeared in The Paris Review, Oxford American, and elsewhere; she has received MacDowell and National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and has been awarded the South Carolina Arts Commission's Prose Fellowship for 2023. For thirteen years she taught at Bennington College, during which time she was faculty editor for plain china, an online journal showcasing undergraduate writing from around the country.
