Description

While visiring Rome, world-renowned photographer Gregory Crewdson was invited to tour the backlotof the legendary Italian film studio Cinecitta, where directors such as Fredrico Fellini and Roberto Rossellini shot their iconic works. He found the elaborate film sets had fallen in to ruin and became captivated by their decaying beauty. A fabulous collection of 40 + monochrome plates on high quality gloss paper, with an introductory essay by A. O. Scott. This copy is in near fine condition with one minor nick to the front edge of the dust jacket.

About the author

Gregory Crewdson is an internationally exhibited artist whose previous books with Abrams include Beneath the Roses and Twilight. He teaches at the Yale University School of Art and lives in New York City.
