The author pays close attention to the versions circulated by the early troubadours as well as to Malory's and Spenser's. An investigation on the Sir Tristan and Iseut legend. Starting in 12th century France the author investigates and explores the various origins of the legend and examines its many variations and guises. Both the early and late versions are examined and of the inspiration and retelling down through the years.
