London: The Bodley Head. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. 0370012666 . 152 p. 22.5 cm. Sound and square binding in paper-covered boards. Tiny knock to bottom fore-corner of upper board. Top edge of text block is a bit dusty. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket has darkened along the fold edges. The rear panel is lightly foxed and shows some soil. All edges have some rubbing and light wear. Not price clipped. A retelling of six of the poems of medieval Europe about the deeds of Charlemagne, including The Song of Roland and The Four Sons of Aymon. Intended for children. Jacket design by Victor Ambrus. .
