The first edition of this novel by Marguerite Steen about a struggling painter and his wife, in the original dust wrapper. The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. This novel was written by Marguerite Steen and tells the story of a Tom Proctor, a passionate artist and his wife who are struggling with money and the responsibilities of a disabled child. After making a difficult sacrifice, Tom is offered the job of painting a tower in France, which tests his relationship. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with slight shelf wear. The wrap is excellent with only minimal handling marks to the rear and slight edge wear. Light spotting to the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Fine
