About the author

The Author: George Newlands is Professor of Divinity at the University of Glasgow, Scotland and Principal of Trinity College, Glasgow. Educated at Edinburgh (M.A., BD, Ph.D., DLitt), Heidelberg and Cambridge, he was previously a university lecturer in Divinity at Cambridge and Dean of Trinity Hall. His recent publications include John and Donald Baillie: Transatlantic Theology (Peter Lang, 2002) and The Transformative Imagination - Rethinking Intercultural Theology (2004).
George Newlands is a minister of the Church of Scotland and a priest of the Church of England.
