Pp. 450; with 10 mounted color plates after paintings plus numerous text drawings by Lynn Bogue Hunt; sewn-in bookmark. Full burgundy morocco, with gilt vignette of a shooting scene on the front cover bordered by gilt panel lines, spine with three raised bands, lettered in gilt in three compartments and with game bird flying in the other compartment, marbled endpapers, lg 8vo. This deluxe edition was limited to 124 numbered copies, each signed by the author, this is copy no. 106. "The deluxe edition of this title is one of the most splendid sporting books ever produced" (Biscotti - A Bibliography of American Sporting Books, 1926-1985). No ownership marks.
