About This Item

Leaves torn along fore edges from a clumsy opening, endpapers toned and foxed, cover rubbed and stained with spine cloth foxed and torn on top and bottom. Awarded the first Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1918 as Why Marry? for its satirical portrayal of marriage and love and for its delivery of realism to American theater.
