Boards worn; notably rubbed; lightly soiled; corners bruised; lettering on spine largely faded; slightly cocked. Binding a little loose, with all gatherings remaining entirely secure; no evidence of starting. Toning at inner gutters from binder's glue, as common. Previous bookseller's small stamp at foot of front-pastedown. Remnants of previously removed bookplate to ffep. Occasional faint smudge to margin (likely due to the affectionate turnings of passed fingers). Very occasional spot of light foxing. First Edition stated on copyright page, as called for.
