[2], iii-xxii, [7], 2-343, [11] pp. Grey cloth with white and blue lettering on the front board, white lettering on the spine. Pale yellow endpapers and pastedowns. Price of $12.95 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Illustrated with several in-text and full-page black and white photographs, and with several full-page maps. Volume 52 in Ruth Nanda Ansehn's World Perspectives series. Mead's compendium of letters describes her work and observations in Samoa, New Guinea, Bali, and other places in the West Indies. Mead calls this collection "[a record of] what it means to be an anthropologist over the last 50 years" A Near Fine book with a faint discoloration on the fore-edge; jacket shows toning and minor edge wear to the spine panel.
